Resumen
The present study analyzes the application of the concept of trailing edge morphing to
control the pitch moment of a remotely piloted aircraft, and aims to evaluate and quantify
the deflection generated by a model printed in PLA. Variations in geometry and printing
configurations will be experimented here so that at the end of the tests, there will be a
combination of factors that managed to achieve the desired deflection. Studies related to
morphing wing aim to improve the performance of current aircraft, whether in noise reduction,
fuel economy, pollutant emissions, among others. In this sense, it is proposed a
comparison between a horizontal empennage built in the conventional way, and one that
presents morphing, in order to evaluate the viability of this concept in the application of a
radio controlled aircraft.
