The article is a reflection that proposes rethinking educational research from a qualitative perspective. The objective is to describe and understand the different aspects of educational research, the qualitative approach in the field of education; problematize about the design of the plan; explain oral history as a research method in the study of education and reflect on the role of the researcher. In short, it is proposed to think about educational research from a qualitative perspective, on the one hand, because it allows us to understand that the processes of research and construction of knowledge are participatory, collaborative and dialogical; on the other hand, to problematize the researcher's position in the investigation. El objetivo es describir y comprender sobre las distintas vertientes de la investigación educativa, el enfoque cualitativo en el campo de las educaciones; problematizar sobre el diseño del plan; explicar a la historia oral como método de investigación en el estudio de la educación y reflexionar sobre el rol del investigador. En suma, se plantea pensar la investigación educativa desde el enfoque cualitativo, por un lado, porque permite comprender que los procesos de investigación y construcción de conocimiento son de forma participativa, colaborativa y dialógica; por otro lado, problematizar la posición del investigador en la investigación.
