To think about the social is an unavoidable task of any social intervention. From the 20th centurythe ‘ linguistic draft ‘ has put new challenges to the social sciences. This paper seeks to establishsome reading keys to reveal the “draft” produced between the presence of the topic of the language,the communication and the discourse in some social and political reflection, which takes a conceptionof the language not only as a “topic” of reflection, but as condition itself of the social and ofthe democracy. The “problem” of the language exceeds the area of the social and political reflection.Well as “ form of Life “,” thought “,” action “,” communication “,” text “,” writing “ or “ discourse “, thelanguage has meddled in a vigorous way to the contemporary debate. That is the so called “linguisticdraft”. Ludwig Wittgenstein is one of the authors of this discussion, who has had a strong impact inthe contemporary social and political theory, linked to new forms of comprehension of the socialrelations and the possibility of the democracy in our contemporary societies.Pensar lo social es una tarea ineludible de toda intervención social. Desde el siglo XX el ‘giro lingüístico’ ha puesto a las ciencias sociales ante nuevos desafíos. Aquí se busca establecer algunas claves de lectura que pongan de manifiesto el “giro” producido entre la presencia sostenida del tema del lenguaje, la comunicación y el discurso al interior de cierta reflexión social y política, que tiene una concepción del lenguaje ya no solo como “tema” de dicha reflexión, sino como condición misma de lo social y de la democracia. El “problema” del lenguaje excede con creces el ámbito de la reflexión social y política. Bien sea como “forma de vida”, “pensamiento”, “acción”, “comunicación”, “texto”, “escritura” o “discurso”, el lenguaje se ha entrometido de manera vigorosa en el debate contemporáneo no dejando prácticamente ningún terreno disciplinar por conquistar. Es el llamado “giro lingüístico”, uno de cuyos impulsores fue Ludwig Wittgenstein, quien a través de un recorrido que considera rupturas importantes al interior de su propio pensamiento, ha tenido un fuerte impacto en la teoría social y política contemporánea, vinculado a nuevas formas de comprensión de las relaciones sociales y la posibilidad de la democracia en nuestras sociedades contemporáneas.
