Mediante la presente investigación se evaluó la intervención de la Fiscalía ante el incumplimiento de las obligaciones alimentarias a favor de los niños, niñas y adolescentes en la ciudad de Barranquilla, durante los años 2014-2015. En virtud de lo cual se desarrollaron como objetivos específicos la descripción de la normatividad vigente, las principales causas que inciden en el incumplimiento de la obligación alimentaria, como las políticas de gobierno puestas en práctica para contrarrestar este delito. Se desarrolló un estudio de corte socio-jurídico con enfoque cualitativo de tipo descriptivo, con el objeto de recoger información integral basada en conceptos, variables, especificación de características y rasgos importantes concatenados con el objetivo de la misma, utilizando el método de investigación deductivo, y Se utilizaron fuentes primarias y secundarias. Se evidencio que Pese a la normatividad existente para proteger el derecho a la asistencia alimentaria, es evidente el incumplimiento a esta obligación. Barranquilla no es ajena a esta problemática, así quedó demostrado en el presente estudio investigativo, ocasionado, en un alto índice, por problemas socio-culturales y económicos. La realidad es abismal, la solución poca.The research objective of this study was to evaluate regard to the intervention of the Prosecutor at the failure of maintenance obligations for children and adolescents in the city of Barranquilla, during the years 2014-2015, and Causes. All pursuant to the Colombian State has the duty to guarantee a decent life for all its inhabitants, especially those who do not have sufficient economic resources and have manifest physically or mentally vulnerable circumstances. The duty of care to children, direct product of parental authority, known as the obligation to provide food, and also to cover all your needs. Despite the existing regulations to shelter the right to food assistance, it is clear breach of this obligation. Barranquilla is no stranger to this problem, this was demonstrated in this research study, resulted in a high rate by socio-cultural and economic problems. The reality is abysmal, the little solution. While not implemented more state policies for this social problem, not only have the Public Prosecutors Barranquilla Colombia but, full of cases of food absence. Family police stations, legal offices and family courts have the tools to prevent this crime materializes through different forms of conciliation, yet continues to rise.
