This article intends to analyze the perspectives that the “Benguela Project: black girls tell their stories” brought to the school context. This project started in 2018 and pays tribute to Tereza de Benguela, quilombola leader in Mato Grosso, in Quilombo do Piolho, in the 18th century. The project is aimed at classes of 8th and 9th years of public schools and consisted of bringing discussions about race, gender and sexuality. The project's actions took place through workshops and consisted of free textual production focusing on the students' experiences based on reflections on texts and research on some black writers. For the analysis of the project, a theoretical contribution on the concepts of intersectionality, blackness and black feminism was used. The experience made it possible to bring to the classroom new black intellectual references and the Project's proposal sought to contribute to a production of knowledge that considers thought and knowledge areas in an integrated manner. In addition, it proposed a repositioning of self-images or self-definitions, making the image of the black population positive by bringing references that contributed to the anti-racist struggle, as well as those that achieved great achievements in society. Youth.No presente artigo pretende-se analisar as perspectivas que o “Projeto Benguela: meninas negras contam suas histórias” trouxe para o contexto escolar. O referido projeto iniciou em 2018 e homenageia Tereza de Benguela, líder quilombola em Mato Grosso, no Quilombo do Piolho, no século XVIII.  O projeto é voltado para as turmas de 8º e 9º anos das escolas públicas e consistiu em trazer discussões sobre raça, gênero e sexualidade. As ações do projeto ocorreram por meio de oficinas e consistiram na produção textual livre com foco nas vivências das/dos estudantes a partir de reflexões de textos e pesquisas sobre algumas escritoras/es negras/os. Para a análise do projeto utilizou-se um aporte teórico sobre os conceitos de interseccionalidade, negritude e feminismo negro.  A experiência possibilitou trazer para sala de aula novas referências intelectuais negras e a proposta do Projeto buscou contribuir para uma produção de conhecimento que considere o pensamento e as áreas de conhecimento de forma integrada. Além disso, propôs um reposicionamento de autoimagens ou autodefinições, positivando a imagem da população negra ao trazer referências que contribuíram com a luta antirracista, bem como aquelas que obtiveram grandes conquistas na sociedade.
