When the subject is to be indigenous in Brazil, it is certain that the mainstream media insists and persists in a network of memories based on stereotypes, voices silencing, however, despite this negative undertaking, however we can count on other segments that value and (re) affirm the indigenous identity. This is the case of the Tuxaua apparatus, which, even without being indigenous, is crossed by a network of memories that (re) affirms this identity (SILVA, 2016). And this is the proposal of this text: under the theoretical-methodological perspectives of the french line discourse Analysis, to analyze the effects of the senses agenciados by the discursive memory while (re) affirmation of the indigenous identity in non-indigenous cultural materialities. As a result, it is understood that, to the supporters of this cultural manifestation, it is a matter of pride to assume an indigenous identity.Quando o assunto é ser indígena no Brasil, é certo que a grande mídia insiste e persiste em uma rede de memórias baseadas em estereotipias, silenciamento de vozes e exotismo; no entanto, apesar desse empreendimento negativo, todavia podemos contar com outros segmentos que valorizam e (re)afirmam a identidade indígena. É o caso da aparelhagem Tuxaua, a qual, mesmo sem ser indígena, é atravessada por uma rede de memórias que (re)afirma esta identidade (SILVA, 2016). E essa é a proposta deste texto: sob perspectivas teóricas-metodológicas da Análise do discurso de linha francesa, analisar os efeitos de sentidos agenciados pela memória discursiva enquanto (re)afirmação da identidade indígena em materialidades culturais não indígenas. Como resultado, entende-se que, aos adeptos desta manifestação cultural, é motivo de orgulho assumir uma identidade indígena.
