O objetivo deste artigo é refletir sobre o novo dilema verificado no território nordestino brasileiro, que dentre outros vetores tinha nos últimos anos, o turismo de sol e mar como estratégia de crescimento econômico e desenvolvimento regional, mas que a partir da instalação dos parques eólicos, com forte participação de capital internacional e empresas estrangeiras, passou a apresentar novas dinâmicas territoriais alterando significativamente a paisagem e os lugares onde este fenômeno passou a se fazer presente. Pretende-se relacionar esta reflexão com o surgimento de novos desafios, apontando a necessidade de (re)pensar o planejamento territorial, de forma que seja possível conduzir a economia regional com desenvolvimento endógeno, pautado na inclusão social e no equilíbrio entre a economia e o ambiente.The objective of this article is to reflect on the new dilemma found in the Brazilian Northeast territory, which among other vectors had in recent years, sun and sea tourism as a strategy for economic growth and regional development, but that from the installation of wind farms, with a strong participation of international capital and foreign companies, it started to present new territorial dynamics, significantly altering the landscape and the places where this phenomenon started to be present. It is intended to relate this reflection to the emergence of new challenges, pointing out the need to (re) think territorial planning, so that it is possible to conduct the regional economy with endogenous development, based on social inclusion and the balance between the economy and the environment.
