Atuando há anos no exercício da docência, temos nos preocupado com o processo ensino-aprendizagem dessa disciplina. Na prática cotidiana do ensino, temos convivido com a contradição que se estabelece entre a escola real e a escola desejada; percebemos, portanto, a importância de estudar as práticas de leitura a partir do ambiente escolar que envolve a relação entre mestres e estudantes (FELGUEIRAS, 2010) para compreender as representações sociais que essas práticas permitem na aquisição de habitus e valores e quais "as transferências culturais" da escola para os alunos. Assim, propomo-nos a investigar a prática de leitura dos alunos do Ensino Médio do Colégio de Aplicação da Universidade Federal de Sergipe – Codap/UFS. O interesse por esse objeto de pesquisa foi despertado no período em que cursava uma disciplina pelo Núcleo de Pós-Graduação em Educação – NPGED/UFS. _________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT: Working for years in the teaching profession, we have been concerned about the teachinglearning process of this discipline. In everyday practice of teaching, we have lived with the contradiction that is established between the actual school and the school wanted, realize, therefore, the importance of studying reading practices from the school environment that involves the relationship between teachers and students (FELGUEIRAS, 2010) to understand the social representations that these practices allow the acquisition of habits and values and what "cultural transfers" of school for students. Thus, we propose to investigate the practice of reading the high school students of the Colégio de Aplicação da Universidade Federal de Sergipe - CODAP / UFS. Interest in this research subject was awakened during the period she was studying a discipline by the “Culturas e Práticas Escolares” - NPGED / UFS.
