The present work tries to show the importance of the costumes in the staging and how theatrical texts can contribute to their creation, based on a workshop in which a group of students of the Federal University of Sergipe, of the degree course in theater, made costumes with recyclable materials from the understanding and interpretation of Euripides' Medeia text. As an exercise of the experiment, the future theater teachers, participants of the workshop, through this work, besides creating the wardrobe with recyclable materials, could observe alternatives to carry out with their future students similar works.O presente trabalho procura mostrar a importância do figurino na encenação e de que forma textos teatrais podem contribuir para a sua criação, tendo como base uma oficina em que um grupo de alunos da Universidade Federal de Sergipe, do curso Licenciatura em teatro, realizou figurinos com materiais recicláveis a partir da compreensão e interpretação do texto Medeia, de Eurípedes. Como exercício do experimento, os futuros professores de teatro, participantes da oficina, através desse trabalho, além de criar o figurino com materiais recicláveis, puderam observar alternativas para realizar com seus futuros alunos trabalhos similares.Laranjeiras, SE
