In Jeremias – Pele, a work written by Rafael Calça and drawn by Jefferson Costa, a narrative is constructed about the recognition of a black child as a person racialized and how structuralized racial prejudice is present in her life. From In addition, this course conclusion work sought to analyze the graphic narrative paying attention to the how black characters are represented and, more specifically, how presentations are not derogatory inscribe new meanings in the sign of the black. The main theoretical framework of the argument built here is the thought of the sociologist and social theorist Stuart Hall, more specifically in his book Culture and Representation, in which he dedicates his study to the representations and their relationship with culture and society.Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso (Graduação)Em Jeremias – Pele, obra roteirizada por Rafael Calça e desenhada por Jefferson Costa, constrói-se uma narrativa acerca do reconhecimento de uma criança negra como uma pessoa racializada e como o preconceito racial estruturalizado está presente em sua vida. A partir disto, este trabalho de conclusão de curso buscou analisar a narrativa gráfica atentando para como são representadas as personagens negras e, mais detidamente, como apresentações não depreciativas inscrevem novos significados no signo do negro. O principal referencial teórico da argumentação aqui construída é o pensamento do sociólogo e teórico social Stuart Hall, mais especificamente em seu livro Cultura e representação, no qual dedica seu estudo às representações e à sua relação com a cultura e a sociedade.
