The representativeness of women proposed by the female gaze is necessary to reconfigure ideologies of the patriarchal society in the dominant cinema. This work presents a film that exemplifies the construction of women, from the perspective of the female gaze, as well as the importance of greater insertion of women in the cinematographic market to validate the representativeness and female identity in films. Thus, reflections on the feminine roles in film productions are presented, departing from the questions of feminist theorists of cinema and, also, the contributions of the Feminist Movement in studies on the female subject. In order to achieve the aforementioned objective, an analysis of the film The Headless Woman (2008) by director Lucrecia Martel is proposed. Este trabalho apresenta um filme, que exemplifica a construção da mulher, sob a perspectiva do olhar feminino, bem como a importância de maior inserção das mulheres no mercado cinematográfico, para validar a representatividade e identidade feminina nos filmes produzidos no cinema. Propõe-se, assim, apresentar reflexões sobre os papéis femininos nas produções fílmicas, a partir dos questionamentos de teóricas feministas do cinema e, também, as contribuições do Movimento Feminista nos estudos sobre a mulher sujeito. Para o alcance do objetivo referido, é proposta a análise do filme A Mulher sem Cabeça (2008) da diretora Lucrecia Martel, cuja trama nos possibilita a discussão sobre a construção social da mulher.
