The migration of Brazilians, who leave their country in search of better living conditions, has been showing that the need for insertion in the world of work is not the only factor that influences this decision making. In recent years, it became clearer that cases where the motivation was the way in which educational policies were historically structured in Brazil and it is in order to contribute to this debate that we present this article, whose main objective is to discuss the migration of Brazilians, to Latin-American nations, due to the educational policies of access to the university that act as an expulsion factor. This work was built from the reading of bibliographic references referring to the theme and interviews with Brazilians who immigrated to Rosario, in the Argentine province of Santa Fé, to study medicine at the National University of Rosario (Universidad Nacional de Rosario). The results of the research showed that the way educational policies are organized in Brazil contributes to the maintenance of social inequality and the elite of universities and that migration was the only way for the interviewees to have access to an education of quality at a public university, free of charges and without exclusionary selective processes, since in Argentina education, from the basic level to the superior, is treated as a human right inherent to all, including foreigners.A migração de brasileiros, que deixam seu país à procura de melhores condições de vida, vem mostrando que a necessidade de inserção no mundo do trabalho não é o único fator que influencia essa tomada de decisão. Nos últimos anos passou-se a vislumbrar com maior nitidez casos onde a motivação foi a forma como as políticas educacionais foram historicamente estruturadas no Brasil e é com o intuito de contribuir para com esse debate que apresentamos o presente artigo, que tem como objetivo principal discutir a migração de brasileiros, para nações latino-americanas, por conta da das políticas educacionais de acesso à universidade que atuam como fator de expulsão. Este trabalho foi construído a partir da leitura de referencial bibliográfico referente à temática e entrevistas com brasileiros que imigraram para Rosário, na província argentina de Santa Fé para estudar medicina na Universidade Nacional de Rosário. Os resultados da pesquisa demonstraram que a forma como as políticas educacionais estão organizadas no Brasil contribui para a manutenção da desigualdade social e elitização das universidades e que a migração foi para os entrevistados a única forma de ter acesso a um ensino de qualidade em uma universidade pública, de forma gratuita e sem processos seletivos excludentes já que na Argentina a educação, desde o nível básico até o superior, é tratado como um direito humano inerente a todos, inclusive estrangeiros.
