Resumen
In the field of Applied Linguistics, especially in the last 10 years, there has been a series of researches focused on what has been called, after Geraldi (1984), 'linguistic analysis practice'. Such researches have sought, among several other objectives, to outline theoretical-methodological and didactic-pedagogical paths around the work with linguistic knowledge in Portuguese Language (LP) classes in the context of Basic Education (EB). After the publication of the BNCC (BRASIL, 2018), the term 'linguistic analysis practice' is added to the word 'semiotics'. From this perspective, our objective in this article is to present a theoretical-methodologically supported debate about what is (or should be) the 'practice of linguistic/semiotic analysis' (PAL/S) in the context of the LP class at EB. Far from a modeling or prescriptive bias, we aim to outline a debate around characterizing elements, with the aim of 'opening up to dialogue' in search of counterwords about the work with PAL/S in Brazil. Our article is essentially theoretical-methodological, considering the bibliographical and documental review, but with the explicit purpose of making it possible to be a response (in Bakhtinian terms) to different (re)appropriations and contradictions surrounding working with PAL/S in the LP class.
