| dc.description | This article shows how a Chilean elite school responds to the questioning context emerged in recent years, regarding their condition of being highly segregated educational spaces that reproduce privileged groups. Through an ethnographic study and relying on Pierre Bourdieu's field theory and Draelants and Dumay's theory of identity of schools, It is verified that the elite school is not perceived as a problematic actor in relation to the diagnosis that has emerged from Chilean society, delegitimizing in turn the demands of the student movement. Their reactions have revolved around increasing their social closure, seeking to consolidate their position in the field, which represents a kind of resistance to the demands to move towards the configuration of a more just school system. | en_US |
| dc.description | El presente artículo muestra cómo un colegio de elite chileno responde al contexto de interpelación que ha emergido en los últimos años; interpelación en tanto espacios educativos altamente segregados y que reproducen a los grupos privilegiados. Para ello, se realizó un estudio etnográfico que contempló entrevistas, observaciones cotidianas y análisis de documentos institucionales. Teóricamente, la investigación se apoyó en la teoría de los campos de Pierre Bourdieu y en la teoría de la identidad de los establecimientos escolares de Draelants y Dumay (2011). Se observa que el colegio de elite no se percibe como un actor problemático en relación al diagnóstico que ha emergido desde la sociedad chilena, deslegitimando a su vez las demandas del movimiento estudiantil. Sus reacciones han girado en aumentar su clausura social, buscando consolidad su posición en el campo e imbricación con las familias de elite que integran esta comunidad. | es_ES |
