La practica deportiva y recreativa como herramienta para inculcar valores en niños del Colegio San Martin de Porres

Abstract

This work focuses on the sports and recreational practice as a tool to instill values in children from the San Martin de Porres School. It was carried out as part of the degree option at the Santo Tomas de Aquino University, in the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports, and Recreation.

The main objective of the work was to promote sports as a means to develop comprehensive education in children, encompassing not only motor and psychomotor skills but also the acquisition of positive social and personal values. The importance of intervention by the educational institution was emphasized, and a collaboration was established with the San Martin de Porres School, located in a low-income and vulnerable area. The social internship was implemented with a sports and recreational program for a total of 25 students from the College between the ages of 10 and 11.
