Nutrition is a fundamental part of body composition and therefore of one's health, especially when starting university life, since it is there where habits are consolidated and mark the quality of life of each individual. The objective of this study was to identify the nutritional habits and body composition in students of the Faculty of Physical Culture, Sports and Recreation of the Santo Tomás University, Bogotá campus. It is a study with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, cross-sectional and descriptive scope, with a non-probabilistic sample by convenience, which consisted of 41 students, 11 women and 30 men with an average age of 22 ± 3 years, the food habits questionnaire (CA) and an anthropometric assessment were applied. The body fat percentage of women (22.98 ± 4.48) was higher than that of men (12.2 ± 5.34); the muscle mass of men was higher (58.76 ± 7.09) than that of women (41.45 ± 2.95). The most liked foods were fruits, meats and eggs, the latter being the most preferred in men. In conclusion, the students of Physical Culture, Sports and Recreation have a low fat percentage and a healthy BMI, which is corroborated by the TANITA body classification of normal in women and slim muscular in men, in addition to liking the consumption of healthy foods such as fruits and protein foods such as eggs, meat and chicken,
