Resumen
During the COVID-19 pandemic, electronic commerce or e-commerce became a key tool for maintaining access to essential goods and services, as well as for protecting the health and safety of people, enabling continuity in the economic processes of various companies worldwide.
At the same time, it allowed people to purchase goods and services from the safety of their homes, which helped prevent the spread of the virus by avoiding crowds at physical points that normally depend on the influx of people for this type of activity. However, many companies were forced to temporarily close their customer service points due to quarantine and social distancing restrictions, which prevented them from continuing to sell their products in the traditional manner.
To consider the role of e-commerce in Colombian society, the dynamics of e-commerce during the years 2020-2022 were examined, according to the social context of the covid19 pandemic in Colombia, in order to identify the change or influence that this economic activity has had during that period of time in Colombian society.
This recognition and influence are studied based on a bibliographic and statistical review that, through different investigations, have been able to evidence this influence on the Colombian population. Following the proposed analysis, a prevailing dynamic of e-commerce in the economic practices of the Colombian population was observed, after the covid19 pandemic, traditional economic practices now go hand in hand with e-commerce.
