Understanding that digital tools can function as dynamic elements of the
learning process, through new environments so that students from different training
disciplines can interact and enrich the training, based on their interests or motivations
for the acquisition of knowledge, We found that the purpose of this research was to
generate a "learning ecologis", based on a theoretical and constructivist vision,
conceived from the research strategies applied to identify the way of construction of
knowledge by the students of the university. generation Z, where the student, when
expressing their thoughts, reflects that they are true digital natives, and therefore is
enabled to achieve cognitive results with the mediation of digital tools.
The prospective improvement of learning was evidenced by the articulation of
the competency-based learning approach and the use of digital tools, which makes
possible the approach of generation Z to the acquisition of knowledge, but
understanding the new realities of the digital age.
With this doctoral thesis, a learning proposal is made for generation Z, who is
in the first year of university education, supported by the theoretical constructs
studied, such as digital scientific skills, learning ecologies and emerging learning;
complemented by a case study.
