Presença efêmera: a rua na estamparia

Abstract

This research approaches the process of pattern making from the concept of Flâneur, using photography to record moments in the city of Santa Maria, Rio Grande do Sul, which will later be stylized for the creation of surface design. The theme is the ephemerality of presences in urban spaces. For the methodological processes, Gui Bonsiepe's (1984) tools were approached, such as problematization, problem definition, diachronic analysis and synchronic analysis. Also, to use as a methodological tool, a study was made of a project of the author, which took place in one of the disciplines of the Graduate Course in Surface Design - UFSM, which inspired the theme of this research. For the theoretical referential, themes such as textile and surface design, Flâneur and photography were approached. The methodological and creative process resulted in unconventional prints that meet the needs of production and market.
