This article aims to measure the degree of engagement of effective public servants who
work in the Administrative Center of the Municipality of Paraí in order to guide the design of
policies and practices to be implemented in the area of people management. Specifically, the degree
of engagement at work, the physical working conditions and the policies and gratification that
determine it were measured and described. This is an applied social research developed at the
descriptive level with 23 respondents. Data were collected using a quali-quantitative questionnaire
and analyzed using simple descriptive statistics. The results indicate the highest averages are in the
dedication dimension in relation to pride in the work they do and believe that their work is full of
meaning and purpose and also in the absorption dimension with involvement of the work performed
and they feel happy when they work intensely. It is concluded that the level of engagemet of public
servants is high. A new study using qualitative methodologies is recommended to confirm the data.
