Resumen
Jigs that help in the production process, whether assembly or calibration, are present in most of the matelwoking industry. This work aims to develop a methodology for manufacturing and dimensional analysis os control jiggs produced by additive manufacturing. Firstly, the modeling of the jig was elaborated by the software CAD (Computer Aided Design) in order to meet the critical dimensions of the part. For detailing and greater accuracy of the analysis, the fillings generated inside the jig from the AM process were modeled. In a second moment, finite element model (Finite Element Method) was developed with the modeling os the fillings, to verify the dimensional stability of the jig. The making of the model took place in two different simulations: a structural simulation to obtain tensile stiffness and the other thermal to evaluate the expansion and contraction of the template as a function of temperature variations. The best condition found in the simulations was produced by 3D printing. Thus, with the physical jig, a dimensional evaluation was performed using a three-dimensional measuring machine to verify the dimensions of the jig. It was possible to verify through analytical equations the displacements of the measures J and K of the device, and compare with the finite element model. With the evaluated results, the model with 20% honeycomb filling was selected, which presented thermal and stiffness results similar to the other evaluated fillings, however with a lower expenditure of filament and printing time.
