Ceratomicose causada por Fusarium solani no interior do Rio Grande do Sul, Brasil

Abstract

Keretomycosis is a disease caused by fungal invasion of the corneal stroma. Although the fungal species causing keratomycosis are extremely diverse, Fusarium solani has been shown to be predominant in different regions of the world. Here we present a case diagnosed and treated in hinterland of Rio Grande do Sul state, focusing the importance of the correct microbiological procedures for the success of the medical management and cure of the patient.
