Resumen
The present dissertation entitled “[Ir]Regular Propositions of bodyimage in interactive
installations” developed in the Visual Arts, in the line of research Art and Technology
of the Graduate Program in Visual Arts at the Center for Arts and Letters at UFSM,
begin with the creation of interactive installations that relate the concepts of image and
body through the proposal of irregularities that destabilize symmetrical bodies. In order
to understand the body as a trigger of sensations and the image emerging from bodily
actions, in addition to its visual character, poetic research was carried out in the field
of Interactive Art. For its development, I develop research on interactivity from
interdisciplinary collaborations in the LabInter/UFSM art and technology laboratory,
which resulted in dialogic experiments, involving interactive software, for the creation
of unpredictable body movements. The research used the visual arts research method,
which provides practical experiments as a basis for theoretical conceptions. With
regard to the field of Visual Arts, and Art and Technology, it is proposed as a final result
interactive installations that, when exploring the bodily dimensions, dismantle,
fragment and expand the habitual image of the interactor's body through gestural,
sound dialogues and visual, as well as suggest the theoretical-practical conception of
the notion of body image.
