This research was elaborated in the work of discipline Archivology Course Course Completion of the Federal University of Santa Maria, with the theme Training Archivology the Federal University of Santa Maria. Faced with a dismal academic, it was felt necessary to seek the reasons that led to it. Throughout the development of the course it was realized that other students also felt discouraged. The overall objective of Archivology UFSM course is to train professionals able to act creatively and effectively in activities that lead to the value of the awareness of archives and the preservation of them, planning, organizing and directing public and private archives. Therefore, it is important that the course curriculum is consistent with these objectives. It is believed that it is the responsibility of the professionals change demotivating image of the course, which in turn, in the course of Archivology UFSM it appears that currently does not occur. The current course curriculum is from the year 2004, and for a long time has been considering a makeover, also considering this fact we decided to do a data survey and a theoretical framework grounded in educational didactics, thus making a relationship opinion of dropout students, current students and also teachers. Uncertainties invade the educational setting, not just from an institutional point of view, but also from the point of view of the construction of the professional identity of teachers. The role of teachers have vital significance in the preparation of new professionals and construction of archival knowledge.
