Resumen
The work is based on community journalism produced within the periphery and its social role. It discusses the perception of peripheral subjects who receive information about their social identification, in view of what is conveyed in the mainstream media as well as in the journalism produced within the community. In order to understand the concepts of reception and what meanings these subjects produce, the research discusses theories by Martín-Barbero and Ana Escosteguy, where it is understood the need to listen to communicative agents who are inserted in certain realities so that communication is able to guarantee the information rights of every citizen. In addition, it also presents the concepts around doing community journalism and its importance in the production of meanings that contribute to the formation and identity of each human being. The general objective of the work is to understand how Énois community journalism works and is perceived by the community. It uses the techniques of direct observation, inspiration ethnography and interviews with the popular communicator Glória Maria and with residents of Paraisópolis, in São Paulo, where Énois' journalism laboratory is located. From what was observed and the results found, it can be concluded that communication vehicles such as Énois Content and journalists who live in the peripheral context are fundamental for the construction of a plural, diverse and democratic journalism.
