The work entitled “Training Teachers of Vocational and Technological Education: the
Inclusion of People with Disabilities” is part of the line of research Teacher Training
for Vocational and Technological Education. The research was developed from the
question of “How can a course in the SPOC modality (Small Open Online Course)
contribute to the training of teachers of Vocational and Technological Education in the
inclusion of PwD?”. The project's general objective was to evaluate the potential and
challenges of teacher training for inclusive practice in Vocational and Technological
Education through an online course in the SPOC modality. The methodological
resources used for this research are based on the Design Based Research (DBR),
which proposes to identify knowledge and teacher training needs for the inclusion of
People with Disabilities (PwD) in vocational technical courses. The data were
analyzed based on Bardin's Content Analysis and also took place from the
implementation of a training course aimed at teacher training for the inclusion of
students with disabilities in the PTE spaces.
