The present research has as purpose the Afrodescendent Community from São Miguel, situated in Restinga Sêca, Rio Grande do Sul. This community has origin in the late nineteen’s, when the ex slaves became the awners of the lands, the place where the community lives
nowadays. It studies also, the historical context in the late 20 th century when occurred the transition of the slave labor to the free work, as well as, the implications concerning to the social inclusion and economical ways from populational mass of newly delivering, in the
moment that the state keeps away of these included measures.
Moreover, the paper investigates as happened the aproppriation of lands in Restinga Sêca, emphazing the landowners and the ancient owner of slaves that origined the community. It accomphished yet, a bibliographic research concerning to the community standing out its detailed report.
To present the birthplace from the Afrodescendent community of São
Miguel, became evident the interetnics relation, once it is composed
by German and Italian immigrants, as well as, the worth that the lands
brought to the community.
The research also analyses the land’s ownership by community as the
way of social and economical insertion, through the campesinato
notion.
The present study tries to show the impoverishment that the
community, is suffering since seventies from 20 th century, when the
capitalist agriculture starts to predominate, arising, as this way, the
campesinato crisis. Even, it points up the measure followed by the state to compensate the Afrodescendent Community, such as São Miguel, through the territorial denomination and the investments concerned to the progress in the structure and income generations.
