Resumen
Low voltage consumers are responsible for the higher costs of expansion of the Brazilian electrical system, due to the high concentration of energy consumption between 6 pm and 9 pm. This is due to the fact that these consumers are charged at the conventional tariff, which has the same tariff price throughout the day. With a higher demand at certain times of the day, investments in the national electricity system are needed and, for that not to be necessary, the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) created the white tariff, which has different tariff values throughout the day, seeking to reduce energy loading during peak hours. The white tariff has three distinct values: peak, intemediate and off-peak. In this way, consumers who adhere to the White Rate will be able to reduce the energy cost by shifting loads to periods when energy is cheaper (off-peak hours). Based on the increase in the White Rate as a new tariff modality, this work aims to develop an application that defines which rate is the most suitable for low voltage consumers to join. The application was run through the MIT App Inventor development environment, developed for the Android platform. As validation of the developed tool, four case studies were simulated with consumers of different energy consumption habits, in order to find out if the white tariff would bring benefits. In two of these cases, the new tariff is advantageous to the consumer.
