Recurso Electr?nicoAnte la actual preocupaci?n por recuperar las antiguas estaciones del ferrocarril como tambi?n las v?as f?rreas que existieron en Colombia, se busca rescatar ejes viales eficientes e importantes que contribuyan al desarrollo estructurado de las ciudades; esta estrategia permite recuperar la identidad, la memoria colectiva y los bienes de inter?s cultural de la regi?n que hacen parte del patrimonio nacional. El proyecto pretende generar un corredor f?rreo tur?stico para la regi?n del centro y norte del Tolima articulando municipios con potencial patrimonial donde antiguamente se encontraban las l?neas f?rreas, dentro de las localidades m?s pr?ximas a Ibagu? se encuentra el tramo que antiguamente conectaba la ciudad con Espinal, el cual comprende las estaciones de Picale?a, Gualanday, Chicoral y Espinal, enfocando la intervenci?n en el punto de remate del trayecto planteado (Espinal). En este punto se plantea una renovaci?n urbana en los predios que hac?an parte del funcionamiento de la antigua estaci?n que abarcan la calle 9 hasta la 11 con carrera 4?. El proyecto genera: la intervenci?n del inmueble, que actualmente se encuentra en un estado cr?tico en el que se ha perdido totalmente la cubierta conservando s?lo los muros exteriores, la recuperaci?n integral del sector asignando nuevos usos que permitan la reactivaci?n f?sica, cultural y econ?mica de la zona, crear un sistema de espacio p?blico que facilite la movilidad en el sector y responda adecuadamente a los flujos peatonales y vehiculares generados por el funcionamiento de la estaci?n, crear estrategias que permitan la rentabilidad del proyecto a trav?s de sus usos y servicios, la conservaci?n de los inmuebles que hacen parte de la ?poca, rescatando valores arquitect?nicos y de inter?s patrimonial, mejorar las condiciones de seguridad, convivencia y productividad del sector por medio de intervenciones urbanas integrales que beneficien a sus habitantes, fortaleciendo su identidad y sentido de pertenencia con el sector.
