Resumen
This paper proposes a control scheme for a Hybrid
asymmetric multilevel converter with floating cells. This control
approach generates three-phase current with one main cell and
one floating cell per phase. Main cell, composed by a threephase
three-level converter, is handled by using a space vector
algorithm, and floating cells, composed by a H-Bridge cell, are
controlled by a predictive control. This strategy is used to control
the floating capacitors voltages to maintain an asymmetry to
maximize the number of levels of the load voltage, and also
manage the reactive power to reduce the harmonics produced by
the main cell, which also provides the active power to the load.
Thus, the proposed control strategy improves the load current
quality with a reduced number of calculation and results are
presented in simulations.
