Resumen
A new species of Lucinoma is described from a previously unknown methane seep off Concepcion, southern Chilean coast. Comparisons have been made with all known Lucinoma species, especially L. lamellata (=L. antarctica?), L. galathea, L. annulata, L. aequizonatus and L. heroica. Many of the new specimens are gerontic individuals perceived as having slower or irregular growth, resulting in uneven shell thickening, height to length ratio reversal and sculptural irregularity. 0 23 FONDEF Anna.Holmes@nmgw.ac.uk; j.sellane@udec.cl 0 FONDEF 38
