dc.descriptionThe essay reflects about the current dominant discourse concerning the “fight against climate change”, from the perspective which is called here the underside of history. Its aim is to point out certain problematic aspects of such a discourse which must be carefully examined by the “small countries” of the world (the non-industrialized countries), in order to safeguard the future of the “insignificants” of the planet. Those problematic aspects are related to statements that make the “fight against climate change” as a purely scientific (natural science) and undisputed technical issue. Against this narrative, it is argued that in the fight against climate change the other sciences (social and human sciences) must and can contribute to the unveiling of those aspects not seen or explained by the natural science and the technology that accompanies it. The goal, then, is to help avoid optimisms and naiveties in the so-called “fourth industrial revolution.”en-US
dc.descriptionEl ensayo reflexiona – desde una perspectiva particular (el reverso de la historia) – acerca del discurso dominante actual sobre la “lucha contra el cambio climático”. Su objetivo es señalar ciertos aspectos problemáticos de ese discurso, que deben ser considerados con mucha atención por partes de los “países pequeños” (no industrializados) del mundo, para salvaguardar el futuro de los “insignificantes” del planeta. Tales aspectos problemáticos se relacionan a ciertas afirmaciones que hacen de “la lucha contra el cambio climático” un asunto meramente científico (ciencias naturales) y técnico indiscutible. En contra de ello, se argumenta que en la lucha por combatir el cambio climático las demás ciencias (sociales y humanas) deben y pueden contribuir a ver aquellos aspectos no vistos o explicitados por la ciencia (natural) y la tecnología que le acompaña. El fin último, pues, es contribuir a evitar optimismos e ingenuidades de la así considerada “cuarta revolución industrial”.es-ES
