Resumen
The Saint Kitts and Nevis agricultural sector is supported by the government through the 10-year Agricultural Transformation and Growth Strategy, which aims to attract investment and protect food and nutrition security. The sector also has a Climate Resilient Agriculture policy that focuses on climate risk and vulnerability baseline information, policies, strategies, and programs. The objectives of the present project include increasing the contribution of aquaculture to food security, creating new legislation, strategies, or policies to enable aquaculture, and establishing and expanding new and existing aquaculture farms. Saint Kitts and Nevis has already implemented some climate-smart agriculture practices, such as resilient production systems, policies, and strategic frameworks.
