Resumen
This article focuses on a recent IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) initiative, conceived by the Membership and Geographical Activities Committee (MGA-C) of the Society’s Administrative Committee (AdCom). Its aim is to develop membership, a volunteer base, and engagement in MTT-S activities in a targeted area of Region 9 (Latin America), namely Mexico. The highlight of the initiative was a trip to the area by a delegation of enthusiastic volunteers who visited Guadalajara, Puebla, and Mexico City to reach out to the RF and microwave community in Mexico, including members and potential members of the MTT-S.
