dc.description.abstractNowadays, it is crucial for organizations to generate strategies that promote engagement in order to reduce turnover and generate improvements in performance, as this directly influences financial indicators of the organizations. Therefore, the objective of this article is to evaluate the preferences of employees through 6 factors that promote engagement in an IT company. As each employee has different personal characteristics, the analysis was conducted by looking at overall data followed by a detailed examination by gender in order to propose adjustments in human resources based in the AHP methodology. The results indicate that there are significant differences regarding gender in the factors of Quality of life, Organization Practices and People. On the other hand, there is consensus among employees on the importance of Opportunities in terms of Training, Career Plan and challenging activities. Identifying such differences creates an opportunity to adjust HR policies.
