O ensino de arte nas séries finais do ensino fundamental: reflexões a partir de três escolas

Dichotomy between reality and practice in the teaching of the Art subject and also difficulties lived by teachers in the elementary, middle and high schools at Arcos (Minas Gerais/Brazil) are related in this monograph. In three chapters, a historical view of the teaching of Art subject, showing the political, cultural, economic and ideological context, relating facts important to the Art teaching. Facts and data were researched at three schools: “Yolanda Amorim de Carvalho”, “Julieta Ribeiro da Fonseca” e E. M. “Vera Lúcia Paraíso” all of them in Arcos. In the final chapter, concepts used and considerations about viability of Brazilian National Standards for Art teaching and also Brazilian Basic Content for Art teaching are discussed.
