Resumen
Intrauterine growth restriction is one of the main problems that obstetricians and gynecologists have to face, because it can be associated with adverse perinatal outcomes such as neonatal respiratory, cardiac, and neurological problems, and even intrauterine or postnatal fetal death. birth. The objective of this proposal is to determine the perinatal outcomes associated with early and late intrauterine growth restriction in a highly complex institution in the city of Bogotá. A retrospective, analytical, cohort-type study will be carried out, whose population will be made up of the universe of pregnant women treated at the Centro Policlinico del Olaya during the years 2018 to 2020, performing univariate, bivariate and multivariate statistical analysis with logistic regression. During the study period, a total population of 140 patients was obtained, made up of 70 patients diagnosed with IUGR, of which 31 patients (44.2%) had early IUGR and 39 patients (55.7%) late IUGR, and 70 cases of patients without a diagnosis of IUGR with adequate fetal growth. The results of the study suggest that the presence of hypertensive disorders during pregnancy, early IUGR diagnosis, and a newborn weight less than 2,500 g are some of the factors associated with adverse perinatal outcomes in pregnant women with IUGR. However, further prospective studies are required to extensively evaluate the association of early and late IUGR with perinatal outcomes
