El Salvador. Logros significativos 2010-2017

Abstract

Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en El Salvador, durante el período comprendido desde el año 2010 al 2017, con respecto a las necesidades e intereses del país, fortaleciendo en temas como agricultura familiar, innovación, manejo postcosecha, exportaciones, desarrollo rural, buenas prácticas agrícolas, tecnología, horticultura, fruticultura, avicultura, resiliencia contra el cambio climático, sanidad animal y vegetal, inocuidad alimentaria. Asimismo, se brindó asistencia técnica en el empleo de escuelas de campo, en la producción de lácteos, acuicultura y en el control de plagas, como la enfermedad de Newcastle. Finalmente, se fortalecieron las cadenas de valor del maíz, frijol, papa, chile, tomate, yuca, miel, café, frutas y granos básicos.

The main activities carried out by the Institute in El Salvador are identified, during the period from 2010 to 2017, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as family farming, innovation, post-harvest management, exports, rural development. , good agricultural practices, technology, horticulture, fruit growing, poultry farming, resilience against climate change, animal and plant health, food safety. Likewise, technical assistance was provided in the use of field schools, in dairy production, aquaculture and in pest control, such as Newcastle disease. Finally, the value chains of corn, beans, potatoes, peppers, tomatoes, cassava, honey, coffee, fruits and basic grains were strengthened.
