Antigua and Barbuda. Significant achievements 2010-2017

Abstract

The main activities carried out by the Institute in Antigua and Barbuda are identified, during the period from 2010 to 2017, with respect to the needs and interests of the country, strengthening issues such as health and food safety, through the Codex Alimentarius, marketing, agro-processors, production value chains, food preservation, financial education, data and dissemination methods. Finally, work was done to improve entrepreneurship, marketing and the inclusion of women producers.

Se identifican las principales actividades realizadas por el Instituto en Antigua y Barbuda, durante el período comprendido desde el año 2010 al 2017, con respecto a las necesidades e intereses del país, fortaleciendo en temas como sanidad e inocuidad de los alimentos, por medio del Codex Alimentarius, mercadeo, agro-procesadores, cadenas de valor de producción, conservación de alimentos, educación financiera, datos y métodos de difusión. Finalmente, se trabajó en mejorar los emprendimientos, mercadeo y en la inclusión de las mujeres productoras.
