Cladosporium sp, Fusarium sp, Monilia sp, Corynespora sp, Curvularia sp,
Colletotrichum sp, Dothiorella sp, Alternaria sp, Cercospora sp, Torula sp, Pestalotia
sp, Rhizoctonia sp, Botrytis sp, Dendryphium sp, Stemphylium sp, Capnodium sp,
Periconia sp, Helminthosporium sp, Aspergillus sp, Botryodiplodia sp, Nigrospora sp. The present research consisted in collecting samples of stems and branches with
symptoms of gomosis in 24 farms in four production areas of mango for exportation in
the province of Guayas. The identification of the microorganisms associated with this
disease was carried out at Agrocalidad Phytopathology laboratory. The objectives were:
1) To determine the severity of the gomosis in mango for exportation in four producing
zones in Guayas province, and 2) To identify the cause of the gomosis of export mango.
The samples in the laboratory were placed in a humid chamber at room temperature, then
the microscopic observation of the fungal growths was carried out to identify the gender
level. Morphological structures of the genre Phytophthora and Dothiorella were
identified, whose incidence in all the samples was 100% and 60% respectively. Other
fungi were also observed, with less value and causes of other pathologies. There were
other saprophytic associated fungi that were also observed such as: Ochroconis sp,
Cladosporium sp, Fusarium sp, Monilia sp, Corynespora sp, Curvularia sp,
Colletotrichum sp, Dothiorella sp, Alternaria sp, Cercospora sp, Torula sp, Pestalotia
sp, Rhizoctonia sp, Botrytis sp, Dendryphium sp, Stemphylium sp, Capnodium sp,
Periconia sp, Helminthosporium sp, Aspergillus sp, Botryodiplodia sp, Nigrospora sp.
