One of the key concepts of the so called "new law of obligations" is the conformity of the thing owed by the seller. New law of obligations has progressively impregnated national law, however, so far I now, there have not been works devoted to conformity. The goal of the paper consists in doing so by studying the very concept of conformity, manifestations and criteria to assess it.Uno de los conceptos claves del denominado "nuevo derecho de las obligaciones" es la conformidad de la cosa vendida. No obstante el progresivo avance de esta forma de aproximarse al derecho de contratos en el ámbito nacional, no existen —al menos hasta donde llegan mis noticias— estudios que exploren su fisonomía. El objetivo de este es hacerlo, considerando la noción, sus manifestaciones y los criterios para calibrarla.
