It is a text whose objective is to reflect on the O Cinema vai a Escola Project, developed by the Secretariat of Education of the State of Sao Paulo, from 2008, through the analysis of its pedagogical material (The Notebooks of the Cinema of the Teacher, thirty scripts and the boxes of films), in view of what is expected of the teacher dedicated to teaching the Portuguese Language discipline and based on two categories: screenplay and cinematographic genres. The research presented a qualitative approach, applied nature and reconciled description and explanation, making use of bibliographical and documentary investigations.
