Sistema Kanban: sua utilização em uma fábrica de ração comercial, visando a redução de custos por meio da organização e controle de estoques

Abstract

The kanban system has been widely applied in business since it helps in the daily management of production scheduling. The agility, flexibility and low cost were the factors considered to use it as inventory control tool in an industrial unit manufacturer of commercial feed and thus provide greater reliability for information feeding the system used for the same. This study also highlights the kanban efficiency as a practical alternative to support the flow of information, describes the difficulties encountered by the company prior to system implementation and deployment has other advantages, which were characterized by flow improvement in the production process, the reduction of intermediate stocks, the promotion of self-management of stocks, the quick view of production needs, the process of management control, among others. To develop the work we used the following forms of research: literature, explanatory, descriptive and action research.
