Resumen
LEGO Mindstorms is a line of toy LEGO commercially launched in 1998, focused on technology education. This environment is a partnership between the Media Laboratory at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and LEGO Group. It consists of a set of LEGO Technic line parts (motors, shafts, gears, pulleys and chains) plus touch sensors, light intensity, distance, sound, among others. All sensors are controlled by a programmable module. The LEGO Mindstorms has a native development environment, called NXT-G, which is all based on the way drag-and-drop, by allowing that some difficulties before found, like the complexity for software development were facilitated, which is a commonly used environment for the robot teaching and programming language for children, youth and adults. This set is used with didactic function in technological education institutions addressing the theory and practice of targeted content to the introduction to robotics, allowing the development of small and medium-sized projects, stimulating creativity and everyday problem solving by the students.
