Resumen
The Active Methodology is a recent educational concept in Brazil, which the student is the main agent of his learning. In this context, one of the greatest challenges of education is teach in era marked by technological advances where pedagogical practices don’t follow such advances and are permeated by traditional activities and often excluded. For this reason, in this academic project, we sought to present what would be this methodology and the advantages of that application in the classroom, according to authors who discuss this topic. The advantages of using Active Methodology that allows the student to actually learn what is being taught, allows the appropriation of context and articulation with daily activity. As a disadvantage, point out the resistance and refuse that still exists on the part of teachers who doesn’t have the appropriate methodology and don’t use them or using them incorrectly. The active methodologies is one of the ways to improve the quality of education, and it’s necessary to improve / train the teachers só they can work with the most different groups of students, where everyone, regardless of their particularities, can materialize the realization of knowledge required.
