Fundamentos da série de normas IEC 61850 e sua aplicação nas subestações

Abstract

This paper describes the use of IEC 61850 in the typical functions of Electric Power Substations. Some aspects of the IEC 61850 with its main features, as well as a proposal for modernization of power substations, believing that it represents a decisive factor for the growth and modernization of the operating company. The goal is to bring a study of some key features of implementation of IEC 61850, detailing parts and components to clarify the structure and functioning.
