Resumen
The foragers are considered a major source of energy for ruminants, but the degradation of that food is still a limiting factor in the use of energy. There are many studies to improve the utilization of energy by means of additives as fibrolytic enzymes (cellulase and xylanase), which increase the degradation of the cell wall of roughage into the rumen. This study aims to compare the gas production curves in vitro obtained from diets with different levels of enzymes. The work will be developed at the Universidade Federal do Paraná - Campus Dois Vizinhos, in vitro samples of a total diet containing volumine and concentrate for dairy cattle with increasing levels of fibrolitic enzymes (0, 600, 1200, 1800, 2400, 3000 and 3600 IU per kg DM of total ration) with six replications for each level. The effects of the enzyme level on degradation kinetics were verified through analysis of variance (ANOVA), which showed that there was no significant effect for the treatments. It was not possible to determine the best enzymatic level for the diet, since there was no difference between the treatments.
