Resumen
The coffee tree has a large database of transcriptome, whose use has brought some promising results in the characterization of genes of biotechnological interest. But the potential of the analysis to that data submitted is still incipient. In particular, for molecular research during the development of fruits and leaves, little has been exploited for biotechnological applications targeting. The use of bioinformatics through the development of programs and databases can help in this task, not only to analyze the data available, but also in generating new knowledge. The implementation of a tool can even serve as a basis for the organization and comparison of data in other cultures that already have DNA sequencing information, such as citrus and sugar cane, and ensure Brazil's leadership in breeding programs of these cultures. This project presents the result of the development of a bioinformatics system taking as starting point the data of ESTs in Coffea Arabica (CA) and Coffea canephora (CC) available in public databases and especially of Mondego et al. (2011). Our role was to explore this transcriptome analysis, focusing on the stages of fruit development in Coffea canephora. Based on these data, scripts implemented in Java language and PostgreSQL database, enabling the use of the BLAST algorithm for evaluation of genes on a large scale and perform the filtering of these data, thus leaving only sequences with expression of interest in a particular condition, as a basis for identifying genes with biotechnological interest. Final product was developed as a web system that enables the user to see all this analysis and also align their sequences of interest against the sequence data of Coffea canephora, data specific to their fruits (in five developmental stages 18, 22, 30 , 42 and 46 weeks) and sequences Coffea arabica. The system also allows applying different filters for different analyzes intersse user and also download the queried data.
