Resumen
This paper offers a reading of the novel Ramal (2011) by Chilean writer Cinthya Rimsky from the eventual articulation between displacement and belonging stated in the text, in order to determine how the concepts of distance and return are signified in relation to the travels done by the protagonist and to his motivations for undertaking them. The essay also analyzes the role played by visual aspects in relation to displacement and to the location of an inside/outside of the communities shown by the novel, from the point of view of its characters.
