Abstract

The main objective of this graduation work is to analyze the role of the social worker in traumatic situations from the intervention model in crisis with the purpose of providing a professional action route, for which he presents a proposal of intervention model to Be applied by the professional in Social Work in the processes of family mourning to a congenital disability of a child. The methodological work includes a descriptive and deductive study since it uses different postulates and contributions from social work professionals, psychologists and therapists who are experts in this subject to create a theoretical basis for the proposal of an intervention model. As a research technique, bibliographical review and reading have been used for the selection and analysis of concepts and theories. As a general result, a model of intervention is available to the future professional, which can be applied when parents are informed about the presence of congenital disability in their son or daughter.
